What messages we send

If you schedule a consultation with Zaidi Law Firm P.C. and provide your mobile number, we will send you text messages about that appointment: a confirmation when it is booked, reminders before it, and a notice if it is rescheduled or cancelled. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. If you reply to confirm an appointment, we send one message acknowledging your reply.

How you consent

There are two ways to give consent, and consent is never a condition of receiving legal services. The exact wording used in each is reproduced below.

1. On our website

On our contact form you enter your name, email, phone number and message. Beneath the message box is an optional checkbox, unticked by default and not required to submit the form, which reads:

I agree to receive appointment confirmations and reminders by text message from Zaidi Law Firm PC at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of service. Message frequency varies: up to 3 messages per appointment (a confirmation and two reminders), plus one message each time your appointment is rescheduled or cancelled; if it is rescheduled, the reminders are sent again for the new time. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

Your number is added to our appointment messaging list only if you tick that box.

2. By telephone or in person

If you book a consultation by telephone or in person at our Houston office, a member of staff reads this aloud before your number is added:

Would you like Zaidi Law Firm PC to send you text reminders about this appointment? We will send a confirmation now, a reminder about 24 hours before your consultation and one about 2 hours before it, so up to three messages. If it is rescheduled or cancelled we send one more, and a reschedule starts the reminders again for the new time. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP any time to stop them, or HELP for help. It is optional and does not affect your appointment.

Your answer is recorded with your appointment. You may decline and still schedule an appointment.

We never buy, rent or obtain mobile numbers from third parties, and we do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy.

Message frequency

Up to three messages for each appointment you schedule: a confirmation when it is booked, a reminder about 24 hours before, and a reminder about 2 hours before. If your appointment is booked less than six hours in advance, the 24-hour reminder is skipped. We send one further message each time an appointment is rescheduled or cancelled, and a reschedule starts the reminders again for the new time. If you reply to confirm an appointment, we send one further message acknowledging that reply. Frequency therefore depends on how many appointments you schedule and how often they change.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Zaidi Law Firm P.C. does not charge for these messages.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. You will receive one confirmation and then no further messages, including reminders for appointments already scheduled. To start again, reply START. For help, reply HELP or call our office.

Carriers

Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, Virgin Mobile, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your information

We use your mobile number only to send you messages about your appointments with the firm. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or your consent to receive text messages with any third party for marketing purposes. Your number is shared only with the messaging provider that delivers these messages on our behalf. Communications with the firm may be subject to attorney-client privilege; see our Privacy Policy for how we handle client information generally, or contact our office.
